This template is 960px wide, good for a 1024px monitor resolution. In monitor with resolution over 1024px the content is centered. The code is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict.

Originally designed for a hosting service provider, but it never goes live (hi Chris!). So I have this layout landing around, orphan, and I decide to release it to the community. The source is valid XHTML 1.0 Strict tested with Internet Explorer 6, Opera 9.23 and Firefox 2.

MicroCSS, a minimalist framework

After seeing some CSS framework I wanted try a personal implementation of a generalist framework, designed to provide the tools for define the page structure. Rather than build a complex infrastructure of rules I tried to find a limited set of rules that allowed me especially flexibility.

Build a YouTube clone

YouTube and all other sites of video sharing are all based on the conversion of video file in the FLV format (Flash Video) and the FLV files will be reproduced via a Flash player embedded in a web page. In the end of 2006 I have played with some free and open source software with the scope to verify if it's possible to realize a test application like YouTube with no software cost.

Coded in XHTML 1.0 Strict. The name Cardinal is inspired by the color scheme. It’s kinda serious looking. Note that the <h1> heading is in the top of page content and not in the header!

In the programming it's always good habit to try to automate the repetitive tasks and avoid reinventing the wheel. Often this means to adopt a framework. This rule is true also for the writing of the CSS, even if call it programming is improper.
